SEOUL Aug 10 (Reuters) - South Korea's Hyundai Steel. said in a statement on Tuesday it would raise export prices of its major steel products by about $40-$50 per tonne from September due to rising steel scrap prices.
Prices of H-beams, used mainly in construction, will rise to $710 per tonne on a cost-and-freight (CFR) basis for shipment to Southeast Asia, the statement said.
The steelmaker would charge $720-$730 per tonne, CFR, for sheet pile shipment to China, and $600 per tonne, CFR, for rebar shipment to Singapore, it added.
The move follows domestic product price hikes in July
